turbo question
 
hey guys, my friend just put in a saab turbo that he got form a junk yard into his 01 civic, he told me that it can fit in my car as well, is this true? also are there any other turbos that i could jack off of a car in a junkyard that can fit on my car, i have a 2002 protege es 2.0L, thanx for ur help

please explain what you mean by the word "fit". do you mean, "is there enough space in the engine bay?" or "will my hood close with turbo x?"

A SAAB turbo is a Mitsubishi TD04. You can get that tubo off of a stock Mitsubishi GS-t or GSX. The TD04 is a decent turbo for a street car. It is a popular turbo for most factory turbochargede cars. You will have to find someone to make a manifold for you or buy one from www.spool-turbo.com and have the turbo flange custom fab'ed.

i thought eclipse's and talon's used a t25?!? also, i thought saab's use a t3 as does a turbo 300zx. humm.....

Same thing.... If you look at the ID plate on a SAAB's turbo TD04
