I was just wondering if it would be better to get the just the turbo imported or the whole engine w/turbo.....also is there anyone who manufactures turbos compatiable with a 94 pro lx??? if not, why? dont they know what a badazz car it is

It is up to you to decide if you want to turbo your current motor or just go with the BPT. The stock motor can handle good amounts of power so no worries there:)

As for turbos, you can go with a GTX or a GTR turbo. You can also check out www.barelylegaltransplants.com as another option. If you are willing to spend the cash, everything you need is available.;)

You should be able to use any turbo out there, it all depends on having an exhaust manifold made to match up to the turbo flange.

if your motor is running fine i would say get a vj-20 and manifold ~500 . Your stock bp has a better flowing head than a gtx motor ..Jon

Cast???? maybe not your best bet for the $$ but thats just my opinion.

You are probably just dealing with poor welds, my car sees atleast -20 in the winter. As for cast vs tubular, the flow is much greater with a tubular. If you just want a "for now" kinda job go with a cast, I would suggest the tubular though.

We need someone to make manifolds for the BP's that fit T3's

has anyone actually bought a turbo from barelylegaltransplants.com??? I was thinking about getting one but I dont know everything about turbos, and is there s strongly recommened list over other mods when adding a turbo, i know fuel managent,Ecu but Im talking about the basics

there is nothing wrong with a cast manifold.

There's nothing wrong with a stock exhaust either. It's just better to upgrade it.

i just dont understand the need for a tubular manifold when the cast can be just as good for the long run in your car. they flow well ( depending on design of course) and can retain heat better than some other manifolds.just my opinion:D

i agree, cast manifolds are just fine. they're much cheaper and don't crack. tubular stainless manifolds are really nice but, i hope you or someone you know can weld stainless because they all crack, eventually. a cast log style is a good choice for most protege applications.

are you sure about that? besides, if you want good turbo info from a nissan site, go to freshalloy.com. the popular recommendation over there is the T3/T4 .63A/R but, there are better and cheaper options for the protege guys that only want to run 5-8psi.

WAIT---your telling me that i can buy a turbo for 500 dollars?...is that what someone said or did i misunderstand...
