how many doctors drive 1.6L mazda proteges??? That's odd.

POST PICS NOW!! Sick people will always be around....

macdaddyslomo October-28th-2004 04:03 PM

ACT makes a good stage 1 or 2 clutch for you...and Matty not all doctors are rich, hehe...I can afford ALOT better than a DX protege, but my credit wouldnt allow me to buy anything more expensive

Hello people, I am back! All patients are in fine shape now and I had time to get some pics! So the picks are ready!!
For your info MacDaddy, I make $25000. US a month, but it is no big deal to go out and just buy a Porsche Carrera 4 or a Ferrari, it is much more neat to have a simple car that really moves (a "sleeper") as your every day driver.
So, lets see if I can post the pics...

Hey, that did not turn out too bad at all! I have more pics for those interested... I down-sized the pics to make them easier to upload... hope that didn't hurt the detail too much...
Any more doubts anyone? he he he
I absolutely blew the doors off a Nissan Maxima V6 3.0 liter 24 valve the other day... poor guy was speechless! WHAT FUN!!!
Later!

tailland October-31st-2004 04:45 PM

oh how fine

does the transmission make any troubles?

nando2323 October-31st-2004 04:53 PM

im lost for words you are my idol.

macdaddyslomo October-31st-2004 05:56 PM

VERY COOL!!! ..now please more details...I'm assuming the peice in the charge pipe just before the throttle body is a 5th injector???...can I get a closer look at the SC itself??? and where is the electric PS pump....sorry to bug you but this really has me intrigued........

Roddimus Prime October-31st-2004 06:22 PM

I saw the SC but not the PS pump. I'm more concerned with numbers..

How much did all of this cost you?

Dyno numbers?

drag times?

not sure if you know but I'm finishing up the first ever mass-produced 2.0L supercharger kit for the protege. I'm very interested to see what you think about the power delivery and how your kit compares to mine.

zerocover October-31st-2004 08:46 PM

Braking out the old ruler there arent we rod? ;pee;
Common Mota post some huge numbers!

I would love a supercharger kit, with the 1.6 it would take way too long for a turbo to kick on. How about some more info on the electic power steering, hows she feel disconected?

stutters November-1st-2004 06:37 AM

ahh what i would do with countless amounts of money...

THEGOLDPRO November-1st-2004 07:53 PM

sweetness, looks sexy as hell, what were the dyno numbers again?

mota mazda November-4th-2004 04:12 AM

Thanks for the compliments and glad to hear that you all approve of my Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde project!
I will try to answer all your questions.
I have no transmission troubles so far, but I do think I am beginning to hear some axle half-shaft knocking... the wimpy 1.6 axles probably will not withstand this kind of power for long... just have to wait and see... 6000 miles so far...
Yes, that pic shows the #5 and #6 injectors side by side just before the throttle body entry. Must keep the engine rich and cool, you know.
You definitely will need a steering pump... I had to drive it for a week until the pump was installed, and you are talking about torture! Like driving a MACK truck or something!
The electric PS pump is installed under the windshield washer reservoir, can't be seen in the pics.
About costs, I can say that I have spent about $3000. I think it is worth it. THe power is instant with no lag, and it even starts to spin the wheels by itself (no clutch) at about 2500 rpm when the boost really turns up... HANG ON!
As for dyno figures, sorry, no dyno anywhere nearby. I will just have to let you use your imagination... remember, the Nissan Maxima V-6 24 valve 3.0 liter I destroyed the other day has 210 h.p. and we were racing up a long uphill when I blew by him at 100mph!
The project is not completed, and I am still looking for a ECU pinout map for the 1.6 to see if I can tweak the computer... he he he
Keep the comments coming.

macdaddyslomo November-4th-2004 11:38 AM

what kind of injectors are they??? where did you get the power steering pump and supercharger from and what did they cost?? Is there a drag strip near you?? How about getting some time slips???..... :wee: I guess thats it for 20 questions for today
