NX Kit Q's

I am considering the 20923 IMPORT EFI SINGLE NOZZLE SYSTEM, but I have a few questions as to its operation. The FAQ for the kit says that the system works better with auto's, but it also says not to engage the system while your are in a high gear. So lets say I want to engage the system while I am already traveling at 100kph. Would I arm the system, and floor it? If so, I am wondering if the car will downshift before engaging the system.
Also, lets say I want to race from a standstill. But since the kit is designed to initiate the spray sequence when the throtle is at wide open position, how do I stop it from spray off the line? I assumed that you could floor it, and then when you hit second gear, arm the system, would this work? Also, is there anything wrong with using your Nos kit to try and reach high speeds? Like it wont damage the engine will it? Spraying while you are in 4th. (I drive an automatic 2002 Protege ES by the way.)

when it says high gear, it only means so you dont hit the rev limiter.... my wot switch is under my gas peddle, and when i launch from a standstill, i brake torque, half way floor it, and then floor it after im over 3000 rpm, or you can buy a window switch that wont turn it on till your over 3000 rpm, just floor it and let it go.... yes if you try to top out useing n20, you WILL break something( so i've been told)

the rule of thumb ive heard is to shoot for no longer than 15seconds or so per run, and also no more than once or twice a hour..... you gotta let your engine cool from the excessive heat that the nitrous increases.

I have that kit in my car right now..but i drive a Manual Tranny...When you want to shoot...you arm the system and floor it...Yes the car will downshift...it's an automatic!

How you stop it from spraying off the line...lift your foot up off the gas..or just shut the switch off...When using an automatic..you best be is when you feel the tranny shift...take your foot off the gas..and than when it's in the next gear..got to wot again...Do not use your kit for highspeed races....it can be fatal to your engine!!!

Nitrous can damage an engine if used incorrectly...

If you do get one..make sure to get tranny cooler!!! for you automatic!

I am doing a group buy for that kit..please check out my thread...

lol, more Q's

Okie, up to what speed would you say Nos is safe for the engine up to? I was thinking like maybe 170? KPH. And also, about the downshifting thing. Lets say im crusing at 100kph, and then I floor it from thier with the system armed. Won't the WOT switch be tripped and begin to spray immediately even before the car has any time to switch gears? I'm thinking this would be bad for the engine. Another question, what if I am already at WOT (with the system off) in 2nd gear nearing 3000rpm, if I were to activate the system from here, would it begin to spray?

It's Not really Speed..it's what gear you are in...Final Gear is what you do not want to shoot in...

But i have a manual tranny so i don't have all the info for Auto's..
