i'm thinking about instaling a zex kit or posibly a turbo.
1 which has more bang for the buck?
2 which is more reliable
3 lowest maint
4 how big of a no2 jet can i run on a stock motor without hurting it?
any help would be great.
thanks

DO NOT, I REpeat, DO NOT get a ZEX Kit, if you want a real up to date realiable nitrous system get a Nitrous Express WET Kit

I would suggest a 50 shot, although, I know one one other guy who is running a NX 75 Shot along with myself and our motors havent fucked themselves over.

I would have to say I prefer n2o over forced induction, the power is only there when you need it, so you dont have to worry about that constant power yanking you around or something like that.

Its not really a hassle, I mean just disconnect the bottle, fill it, plug it back up.

best bang for your buck is definatly going to be the n2o, but in the long run (if your car lasts that long) it would be turbo.

the 1st mod i did to my car was a 50 shot of Nitrous, hahahha

it all depends on your application apache and what you want from your pro. I would love to have a turbo, and you can set the boost level to whatever you want. The N2O has advantages, none in georgia or texas though (hahaha sux) since it has been outlawed. I'd like to have a 50 shot in my pro but I would rather have a manual setup instead of one that sprays only over 5000rpm's or some other computer controlled system.

Oh yeah-how much money do you have????

1. N2O for sure. You can get yourself a kit for a fraction of the cost of a good turbo setup.

2. Depends. Both can do damage if not used properly, though you wouldn't use the power with the N2O as often as you would a turbo.

3. Again, it depends, but probably the N2O. Once the kit is installed, unless you break something there's no maintenance involved, except for a possible solenoid rebuild. While this could be the case with a turbo, chances are a bit higher that something will go wrong, as you have the power all the time.

4. That I'm not sure of. I'm currently using a dry 36/42 NOS setup with no problems. I'll be bumping it up to a 38/40 this week. I installed a 190 l/hr Walbro fuel pump. I wouldn't run a dry setup without an upgraded pump.

just wondering- what are the effects on the engine (i.e.- added wear, and what kind of wear)?

Patio: I'm wondering why you said to not go with a ZEX kit... i've seen different opinions on this. I currently run a ZEX setup.. i'm running a 65 shot on my 1.6l, and have had no problems.
