Wings West Body Kit Is Here!
#17
I think that the side and rear skirts are real cool. It's just that from the side the car looks kinda odd because the sides are rear and nice and low to the ground but the front is much higher than the rest of the body. I wish someone would just make a front lip for protege sedans.

For all those interested... Just got the WW kit on my p5 here, I have to admit the front bumper doesn't fit as well as it should, but with a few minor adjustments, fits pretty damn good, too bad it is so high off the ground. I have the autoexec front wrap and grill too and the height difference is incredible. The side skirts fit amazing, and well the back - there is no back for the p5. Words of advice. For those of you p5 owners going with the front bumper. There is no where to mount the oem fog lamps so customizable brackets need to be made. Ill try and post some pics for all to see.

Total cost of both side skirts and the rear lip prepainted by wings west with a warranty and shipped to my commercial address was $987 through Mitch. (oh yeah, I paid Paypal which costs a little more too)..
I say not too bad figuring how much body shops alone charge around here for paint work!
I'm really leaning along the lines of getting a JDM Familia or Sport 20 bumper, as they're the same material as what i've already got, I would just lose the reinforcement bar.. nice flat front end!

I didn't install the kit myself but it would've been an easy job with 2 people and some patience.
The reason I say 2 people is the pieces are all urethane which is wayyy too flexible to hold the pieces by yourself, you need an extra hand.
However, installing the side skirts would consist of: throroughly cleaning the area the skirts attach to.. test fitting them, then drilling holes in the skirts (2-3 holes on each side of the side skirts) in appropriate areas and putting screws into the wheelwell to hold it on.. then prep the area they're attaching to with 3m Adhesive Promoter, test fit the skirts again, peel back the tape in just the right way and put screws through those holes you made..
The rear skirt is basically the same as far as installation.. and is an amazingly good fit.
I'd suggest a body shop or some local tuner shop install it if you don't want to have gaps through not so careful self-installation.
I will probably be at MAPP so you can see the stuff then! It's not all that expensive, even prepainted..

If anyone is interested in this kit after finally seeing some more on car pics I have a deal setup through my good friend who is an authorized WW dealer. I have a post about this running .... but for those curious, I am able to get you the sides/rear for $579 shipped... granted thats unpainted but a body shop damn well better not charge you $400 to paint 3 pieces ! However if needed, I can also have WW paint the pieces for you as well... yes cost will be higher, but not as much as P5online has been charging (example $1096 for the full kit shipped vs my $950 shipped for the same kit).
