Under carriage lights

I am thinking about putting under carriage lights on my Protege5. My 5 is red so of course I have been thinking about red. My question is should I put lights down both sides (driver and passenger) or in front and back. Also does anyone have suggestions on brands and sizes. I guess I will just hook them up the fuse so when I turn on my headlights they come on. But anyways just a few questions.

Street Glow is the most popular brand out there for undercar lights. I think that a kit includes two tubes on the sides, one front, and one back.
As far as setting it up so they turn on whenever you turn on your lights. Don't do it. It is illegal to have them on while driving. You'll get a big-*** ticket if a cop saw you driving with the lights on. Hook them up to a seperate switch.

I've got Eurolite red ones on my car... It comes with 2 4' tubes, and 2 3' ones... They're normally WAY brighter, but they're dirty as hell (winter) so they look dim. Here's a pic:

Do you ever have trouble with them breaking. I heard that in the winter they break a lot (very cold temp to hot or salt and sinders on the road)

I have street glow. The kit comes with 4 bulbs. Street glow is the most well known producer of neon kits for cars so I figure they are the best.

Be careful what color you put on your car. I live in SC and red, yellow, and blue neon is illegal. And, make sure when you mount it you only see the glow, not the bulb. Seeing the bulb makes it look bad, and besides in SC if you can see the bulb, no matter what color it is, it is illegal. Also, install it so it glows through the front grill, i think that looks badass.
