Madico makes a tint similar to this tint. It's called cool chrome. I had it on one of my cars. It looks nice and reflective on an especially on an overcast, cloud day. The only problem is, the tent is so reflective that you can see every spec of dirt in it no matter how small. Most tint jobs have little specs of dust in it, but you cant really tell because black tint doesnt show dirt that bad. But, I took the tint back to the shop to tell him how bad it looked, and he told me cool chrome is so reflective its almost impossible not to see dirt in it, unless you tinted in something like a spray booth, where the dust is suxked out of the air so that it doesnt get in the paint while painting. The guy at the shop said if i can stand back 25 ft and not see any blemishes, he considers it a good tint job, which was also stated before i got the tint, so there was nothing i could do about it.

Other companies may make similar tint, i dont know the name though. I believe Johnson makes their versions of it. Anyways, cool chrome is what type of tint it is.

I'm getting 5% in the back on my p5 and 30% up front. I wonder if I can convice the cop that since the p5 is a wagon it falls under the SUV and VAN law that you can go as dark as you want in the back if I get pulled over.

Well you have to remeber something about tint ,, the level of tint depends on the type of police you have in your area , cause there are some police that are total ***** ,,and the tint is a basis for them to pull you over, so in an area like that you may want to tint the front window a little lighter than the back , just to be a bit courteous(sp) , as mine are .... just remeber the darker your tints are , yeah the cooler your car will look , but you take the chance of getting harassed more often

you drive a yellow p5 with neons. if that is not a cop magnet, i don't know what is. its your call but i would agree with others, you are looking for trouble if you make the tint illegal

You're right I might just go 20% in the back, and 35% up front so it doesnt look so obvious. 5% is a little dark.

Please check the tint law's in your state. The RCW that I posted only is applicable to Washington State Law. I do not want to get anyone in trouble because they misinterpret the Washington State Reg. as applicable in all 50 states.

i know. In SC the law states 27% is legal all the way around but I know a lot of people that have went darker. Plus, I got a friend that tints windows and he said he will do any percentage of tint and still put the ceritification stickers on there just in case I get pulled over. So, If i go 20% and get the stickers that says my tint is alright I should be fine.

Don't be ridiculous. By hand is the only way it is done, and it is perfectly safe for your car. If the shop "cuts" your glass, you never should have been there in the first place.

If the guy knows what he's doing, you'll never see any cuts on the glass.
