Tail Lights
What are the best types of tial lights out on the market right now? I have a 1999 Protege, and I am looking to make some upgrades to it. Also, where is the best place to buy them? Any help would be appreciated.

Those are sweet. I have a black 99 Protege, so those would also look good on my car. Where did you order them from? How much did they cost you?
|
Yeah I really love em. looks perfect on the black car.
I got them from a local store here, cost was $250+tax (cdn funds) |

Do any of the Canadian Protege owners on here know if there is somewhere in Canada that sells the aftermarket Tail Lights for a good price? That would save money for the shipping from the U.S.A. to here. Thanks for everyones help so far.

I really like the EuroTec Tail Lens. Right now I'm tryin' to save up some money to get it. And those carbon fiber ones always go well with a black car.

Are your break lights out because the top circle should light up with your driving lights. My favorite are the new all red ones from APC. I got them for $140 shipped from Street Beat Customs.

I heard that aftermarket tail lights are bad for water leakage/condensation. Any truth to this?

Is there any way that you can prevent that from happening?

Some of the bulbs didn't have a GREAT tight connection (ie: the water seal). 2) the actual casing is opening from somewhere letting condensation build inside. |
i just got my apc carbon fiber tail lights in the mail...i need to install them...whats the easiest way...never done it b4. i also was advised to seal them w/silicone to help from water getting in etc....so i got that to....i'm ready to put 'em on....:)
i paid $180 for mine at nopi, thats including shipping too. |
Well installation is very easy. Just remove the bolts holding your stock ones on and switch the lights. $180 sounds a bit steep to me, especially for the carbon fiber ones.
