Question Sub Box Question

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have a 91 LX and was wondering how all of you have boxes in your trunks without breaking the board that covers the spare. I currently have a dual bandpass box with (2) 12's and it cracked my board into 3 pieces. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just stuff something between the spare and the board. A large blanket is always handy to have in the car incase of a chance encouter with the opposite sex.

Actually masonite will ballon just like MDF when it gets wet...

i used a few spare peices of 2x4 attached to the bottom of the box that fit inside the spare tire well. locks the box in place. but i don't have a spare cover or trunk carpet...

you could also strap it down like a bazokaa tube.

"L" brakets

Use the carpet to make a full sized wood floor and attach the box to the wood, then hinge half of it to have access to the spare.

Big *** peice of velcro

kill your worst enemy and throw him/her in the trunk as a brace. (be sure to poke vent holes, it gets smelly after a few days )
