What year is the car ??
Is the noise coming from the inside or outside of the car?

Describe the sound if you can.

look up in the rear bumper shell for two pieces of absorbant styro-phoam, there is your culprit. if you had the car up, you should notice it easily, but on our cars, the shock absorbers, should they detatch, are the culprit. i still have this problem... only fix i see is taking them off or tacking them up some how, good luck
