Shift **** - What do you think of this one

I ordered a Polished **** for my S2000.. love it, and it does lower the shift **** to your desired position.

What I am wondering is that plastic lip comes off the factory **** (just below) Anyway, what are your thoughts

Can't quite tell what texture or material that **** is....

It depends on the material and/or texture to really give you an opinion.

Looks like it's made of cast iron, like a cannonball. It will probably be less prone to scratches than polished versions.

Hondagal, it seems like you're asking for our opinions, so here goes:

I don't think it will look good. In my opinion, the stock looks better than this. Feeling, is a different matter though, I can't offer an opinion on that one.

As a basis on what my taste on shift **** is like, I have a 400 gram (almost one pound) weighted shift ****. It's quite heavy and has a lot of momentum in the shifting action.

I was looking for something that would shorten the shift a bit.. not interested in a short shift kit.

here is the link to the website. These guys are a sponsor of s2ki.com. Like I said I have the polished one already and thought the black look one would be neat in the P5. I understand everyone's taste is different. I am looking for your thoughts so be honest.

Like others here, if you'd like to shorten your shift without a short shifter kit, I'd have recommended ***** from http://www.teamvoodoo.com, but it seems like you are in the USA, in which case the shipping and customs may be a hassle.

Given the 3 options on that site you mentioned, I'd go with the anodised. That's my personal opinion because it will probably match the pewter color of the central cluster.

But you should follow your gut feeling as it's your car.

WOO-HOO!! I don't even have to post and I am making a difference. I love my VooDoo ****, and I'm sure you will too! It is about 1 inch shorter than the stock ****, and about twice as heavy. It really adds to the feel of the shifter. (and I am still using the stock shifter) Let me know if you have any specific questions.

My one question is. does that plastic ring come off with the ****??

And, the **** I have on my honda, that bugger is hot in the summer, we have winter here, so I would assume this **** would be colder than hell on the skin. (like frost bit)

I can't answer the plastic ring question. Njaremka probably can.

The polished ***** will get very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. That's its unique flaw. I believe they sell knit covers or something like that for the voodoo. A pain, in my opinion. Or you can opt for a nice pair of driving gloves. A pain too, if you're only going for a short trip to the grocery.

The black textured **** you keep mentioning will get real hot in the summer as well if it's metal. And if your car is not out in the sun, it too will be cold in the winter.

If your desire to reduce shifter length by 1 inch justifies this inconvenience, go ahead, but if not, I'd stick to your stock shifter, or get a nice heavy leather one, like the one I mentioned before.
