hey guys just a few q's regarding this particular amp..cause im thinking of buying one 2nd hand for approx 80-85 $us

is this a fair price?
will it be able to fire two jbl 12in subs?

i dont want to spend more than 100 $us..any recommendations on other 2nd hand amps??

 

These amps rock!!!! When they first came out in 1987 I have two of these with an XV2-Crossover and I won comps all over San Diego. Under the 100 watt class, I ran one to a Fosgate 18" and the other to my mids and tweets. They take up no room and rock harder the more speakers you can hang on them.

 

ive posted this q on about 4 boards already...ive only had a limited number of responses so far...but all seem to say the same thing...eg good SQ but not enough power to drive my jbl's which are rated at 140rms continuous...oh well i guess the search continues....thanks for replying Wil

 

I have no idea about that particular model. I have a 500.2 powering one JL 12W3. I have always like their amps and have always used them. try www.buyloud.com if you can't get a good deal locally.
