removing RAAMmat?

Does anyone know of a solvent that readily removes RAAMmat/Dynamat/etc.? I'd like to clear some away from a bolt hole, and scraping it just makes a gummy mess that will obviously take a while to get totally clean.

Yes adhesive/tar remover. A heat gun would help too.

Thanks, some Goof-Off did the trick nicely.

Speaking of tar, after installing the RAAMmat, I occasionally get a whiff of tar smell when I open up the car. Is this normal, and will it go away, or do I need to work to cover exposed areas of the RAAMmat's tar side?

It should go away after a while.

Good! It's not the best thing for impressing a date.
