recovering door panels

has anyone tried to remove the ugly *** patterned interior door print and replaced it with vinyl or a solid color? how hard is it to get that part out? i did it on my old car with little problem, but just wondering if anyone has experienced any difficulty in panel removal.

Try going to www.leatherseats.com - they sell leather inserts for that area, and also have a pretty good tutorial on the site for removal of the fabric and install of the leather (actually, it might be vinyl that they sell, but no matter).

Should help you out some - but I think you just need to carefully pull the crap off, trying not to take too much of the foam underneath with it.

Anyone else have recommendations on this? I want to recover my P5 door panels with something more durable, possibly leather. The exising door panel material is starting to turn white from dirt/etc. Plus, it gets packed down, since I rest my arm on it. Anyone have any suggestions?
