Ok... This is the thing. I have a 2000 Protege DX and I have in the trunk 3, 12" Hed Series CerwinVegas pushed by a 650 amp and a 250 Cd player in the front. I thought my trunk was rattling so I did the usual. Rubber inside the license plate... still rattling, Dynomatted the trunk... still rattling. I found out that the problem was IN THE MUFFLER and the exhaust itself. You know how it has a heat deflector in between the exhaust and the body of the car? I tried bending it, putting cloth (I thought about it later and it was a bad idea) why? duh... "HEAT DEFLECTOR" and cloth don't mix. Any body know how I can solve this problem?
