RainX
Do you use it and if you do, do you just apply it to your windshield or on all the glass windows?
|
Yes all the windows religiously!
I use the foaming stuff easy to apply really good stuff as well as the rainx washer fluid. |
hmmm, washer fluid, never heard of that.
I saw some gel thing that goes on int inside glass to prevent fog build-up |
i use that rainX wipes that you can just wipe on your windshield to help vision during hard rains....
|
I noticed something with my windshield and the wipers. The wipers don't glide on the glass smoothly. I don't think it's the rainX, infact I know it's not the rainX but I can't seem to know what's causing the wipers to do that. They wipers are brand new, I guess they need breakin' in? Or maybe i need to wash my car? I don't know....
|
Please tell me you washed your car before you rainx-ed the window? If not, it wont stick. Go wash it and try again.
|
I dont use the stuff myself. I just use the wipers and washer fluid cut with water. Im cheap as hell.

I guess I'll have to wash the car first then, but I am just soo busy these days, no time to wash car! :red: |
OK i washed the car, applied the rainX but the wipers still aren't gliding on the glass like they should. It's very annoying.
But the rainX is workin' becuase the water is running off like normal when you apply rainX to it. Does anyone know what's probably causing this and how to get the to stop doin' what it does and glide smoothly on the glass? The wipers kinda misses or "jumps" or "skips" on the glass so to speak. |
upgrade to double wipers - they work great for me ;)
|
Dont drive so fast. lol
IDK your wipers could just be old. |
they are new wipers and i don't have to be driving fast for it to happen.
Acutally, when I drive fast it doesn't happen, but if I'm drivin' slow or I come to a stop and it's rainin', then it'd act funny! |
Rain-X is great, I use it on all windows and headlights. At speed with no traffic in front of me, I sometimes don't even need to use the wipers - the Rain-X lets the water run off faster than the wipers can clear it.
As to squeaky wipers - try using cheap rubbing alcohol to clean the edges. New wipers shouldn't need this, but it works on old wipers and may be worth a shot. |
I'll have to try the rubbing alcohol thing.
thanks! |
My friend put turtle wax on his windshield a while ago. I called him an idiot on laughed at him, but when I drove his truck in heavy HEAVY rain I didn't even think about turning on the wipers. The water was gone almost before it his the windshield. That was a very wild experience.
