Alright... we got a great steady hard rain all day today, so it looks like I'll have the opportunity for another wash. This time, I'm thinking about washing it real good, then taking it into the garage for the Meguair's 3-step treatment.

My question is... should I strip the old wax (washing with dish soap) or can I put the deep crystal cleaner right over the old wax (washing with Armorall CarWash).

The old wax, BTW, is Mothers. I had a good conversation about the finish with the detail guy at the dealer. He did a great job, but this spring's been pretty hard.

 

i dunno, if you're gonna go with a meguiar's three step, i'd stay consistent and strip the mother's. altho i like mother's products, i like to the same stuff when i detail.
