Like I said before - the carbon-fiber lights for the Protege are one of the few "altezza" lights I like. One of the VERY few, and only the CF ones - chrome=crap in my book.

I agree with you 100%. The chrome ones look like the toys you get out of those 50cent machines at the grocery store... and every time I see them they make me wanna

Re: Re: Haha Rice

I saw a altezza the other day (IS300) and god knows I wanted it so bad, jeez you don't know lol .... it was red and the tires were all juiced up and what not, the car just looked slick as hell ... well you get my drift
I am ready to get one of the lot and just have it as my second car
soon baby soon

Oh, and in case we all don't know - the lights on the Lexus IS are the REASON why we call them Altezza lights.

The IS is called the "Altezza" overseas - get it??

Oh, and let me get this straight - tint, which is very functional in keeping your car interior cooler, looks great, and helps keep thieving eyes from looking into your ride is RICE, and "Altezza" lights, which serve no real purpose, everyone and their mother has, and often look cheap and plasticky are NOT?

I don't get that logic at all.

Oh, back to the topic - there are these carbon fiber-look Alteezza lights for the Protege sedans. I actuall like the way they look, becuase the plastic chrom crap is kept to a minimum, and they are quite clean-looking. This is coming from a guy who has a fairly intense dislike for the Altezzas in general - but even I think these look good: http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...c=L8460587.jpg

Agreed. To me rice is when you got your car done all up but then got nothing to show when you go. It the in Fast and the Furious. They had the show and the go. At least in the movie...

ALtezza

I started this thread to get some pics to see how the tail lights look - not to get negative views on it. Does it matter that you dont like them? People have different views, worry about yourself. Later. Thanks to everyone who posted pics!

Protege Menace:

you need to get a life, just because you hate altezza does not mean you have to crap every thread about altezza and post dumb pics about them. Don't you have anything better to do in your life?

I think the chrome ones would really spruce up a silver or red car. Carbon fiber for the red and the black. I've thought about purchasing the chrome ones for my ES, which is silver, but that is one of the last things I want to do:

1. Injen CAI.
2. Thicker rear stabilizer bar.
3. Upgrade the struts?
4. Upgrade the interior.
6. Severe engine upgrades.
7. Clean up the exterior.

For the record I think our taillights and the antenna on the outside of the car are just fricking hideous. I don't know what Mazda was thinking. So those will be the two things I change on the outside. As you can all see there are more important things to do than making it pretty for the other people.

If carbon fiber altezzas would have been out when i bought mine I would have got those, but all there was, were the chrome ones and I personally like them on my black car. You can check it out here

http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...mber_id=protru (second to bottom pic)

Also, whether it's rice or not is up for debate, but here's my opinion Around here I probably see more proteges than I do civics, but almost every single civic I see has altezzas, and I've only seen two proteges with altezzas so I think they're nice on proteges since 1. I like the look and 2. I can tell my car apart from others.

maybe if the blinkers weren't so reflective looking, it would look better. over all I like carbon, or black altezzas better than the original ones
