Pics of aftermarket deck in a PR5?

I was wondering if anyone has pictures of an install with an aftermarket deck in their PR5. I just bought my basslink for my RX-7, but now that I am looking into getting a PR5, I am hoping there is a way to get it hooked up!

I have seen the single DIN cubbies at some stereo shops in the car audio install kits/harnesses/etc section. I am not sure of the attachment procedure for the non Mazda ones, but they are out there and a lot cheaper too I am sure.

Just curious about this, but am I the only one who likes the JDM style amber lights in these cars? I guess that is why I am not changing out my stock deck. The look of the dash is more important to me right now. Even though I want to get my basslink in my car on a converter - if it turns out that it can't be done, I'd rather keep it stock.

BTW the second pics of the cubby that were done professional look very nice - You get what you pay for in this case. I would much rather fork out a little dough for a good install than do it myself personally...

Just my two cents

well... if you want to keep the red illumination theme going there are quite a few aftermaket decks that will do it. In my case I had already forked over the cash for the deck for the last car... so, the install in the P5 was with what I had. I could not deal with long trips and the lack of the MP3 player

I also forked over a lot of money for my deck a few years back when I got it - I have the 99 Clarion 8575 with the color changing ****. I hated that it didn't match my RX-7....

I haven't found a deck I liked with the amber/red lights yet.

I've seen some Sony decks that are all red. They looked alright. I don't know how good their stereo's are but it crossed my mind that it could look good with the interior lights of the new proteges.

I don't like the SOny Xplode at all. My boyfriend has one in his Integra, and it is the least pleasing to the eye and most user-un-friendly deck I have used...

hmm, after looking at a webpage I agree with you, they aren't that nice. But they are red. I think I once saw a Clarion with everything red. You may want to check their new and old stuff out.

Here is mine, its a Kenwood eXcelon Z828 Mp3 deck.. I would recommend it to everyone, a tad pricey but its worth it.

The Kenwood KDC-V6017 has a whole boat load of available colors... maybe it is worth a look... plus, I'm partial to Kenwood for some reason.
