Angry Paint chips!

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced paint chipping on their Pro?s. It seems like a daily occurs finding new chips on the car everywhere from the hood to the back door! Would waxing the car help protect the a car a little better since Mazda?s paint job SUCKS!?!

the front bumper is black under the paint, shows badly on yellow. Kinda looks like dead bugs

The paint really must be thin. I have chips all over the front of mine.
The other day I was loading a bag in the bad and barely brushed the back bumper, took a slice of paint right off!

kinda sucks!

I have a few small chips from rocks on the interstate. I got the touchup paint for free from Mazda in the mail though so I will need to use it....

Yep, now that you mention it, I have mad chips on my yellow p5. Paint is really thin, and not very stong. I was looking closely at where the black was showing through and I couldn't see any real depth like a normal quality paint job. I wonder if its just the yellow, or is all other colors having this problem? Hmm another thing to put on my list of "what sucks about Mazda".

Paint chips on my bumper too. I also found a quarter sized brown stain that I can't get out on the hood. Looks like a leaf or some dirt settled in between the hood and the bra and stained the paint. I scrubbed and scrubbed - nothing. Looks like it's cooked in there. It's really not too bad - it's pretty light, but you can tell when yoou get within 3-4 feet of the car. I think I'll go without the bra for a few weeks - let the paint breath and even out any discoloration from the rest of the hood.

Anyone else with hood bra ruin into this issue?

aside from a few small paint chips on the lip of my hood I have no complaints...that's what touch-up paint is for. I got my paint sent to me for free from the National Mazda Coorporation (as part of their welcome packet).

Good luck
