were is a good place to put a switch for neon lights

on the dash, in the center console, etc.

i was thinking about that the other day.... since i dont smoke im gonna put my switches in my ashtray :D that way its hidden, pull it out switch put it back. probably wouldnt work if ya smoke tho (bad for you anyway ):p

Where did you get the extra button from?

On a P5... the fake button beside the little change holder and foglight switch.

regarding the first gen, my neon switch is installed where the power mirror switch would be.

I went and did it in the same place you did. Then I just wired all my interior neons to it. For my neon undercar kit, I just placed a flip switch down near the foot well area.
