my new sub!

YAY!!! no more cheap-*** audiobahn subs! Today i went out a bought a 10" Alpine type r sub, A 60x60 sheet of 3/4 baltic birch and built my self a 36hertz tuned boxed and goddamn do these things slam! i out slammed my buddy's 2 jl10w3d2's in pure volume and sq and since my car still in the shop we put it in his car for the test using same amp n what not....

sounds sweet dude you wanna get rid of the audiobahn? How much did that alpine set ya back anyway? Ive heard nothing but good things from the type r alpines. Maybe ill get 4 of those when i get my tax refund.

ehh i can get rid of the bahns but they are the basic level audiobahns but do get decently loud but they dont sound super great when loud...
The type r set me back 183.xx with tax at bestbuy but with a few giftcards it was just as good as getting it at the local shop

how good is it goin 2 a quality sub???

i had a pioneer $50 sub and once that blew i went to a JBL GT412... and damnnn this pumps... i assume its the same with alpine... u can feel such a great quality sound come out of it...

its great! but it has yet to be in the protege since its been in the shop for 3 f**king weeks but im getting it back tomarrow...
we tested it in my buddy's vw and it was pretty suprising for the money i spent i couldnt be happier!
