mp3 player?

mp3 player?

Mazda seems to be hyping up their "modular" stereo system.
It looks like you can put different stuff in the upper (CD)
compartment and the lower (Cassette) compartment. I don't
know that much about it; I just saw pictures in some of the
promotional literature.

Anybody know if there is a CD/MP3 player that can be swapped
into the upper compartment? Does the MP3 player from the
Protege MP3 fit in there? Or is that a custom job?

The quick reply is that the Prot-MP3 has a "custom" install. They were equiped with either a Kenwood Z919 or later with a Kenwood Z828 headunit.

There is not a Mazda modular option that allows for MP3 playback.
