Metal/Aluminum floor mats
i would imagine you would have less traction than both rubber & carpet, just think of it this way, do you slip and fall on carpet or a lenoleum (spelling) floor? i wouldn't reccoment them but if you want the bling bling effect at car shows then by all means go for it!
They usually have holes and bumps on the aluminum floors to prevent slipping and falling. Somtimes they even have rubber grips on them as well.
I don't know where you can find them for protege's but I have a pair on my 95 Cobra, they're a hella lot easier to clean too... you just rinse with soap and water and they're squeeky clean.

you can get the p5 ones at www.legend5.com
but they are IIRC $200 a set
btw, ShyutanSan, I like your "priceless"
signature but i would say its the democratic
votes that didn't get counted, at least here
in florida.

Try NOPI.com, they have them and SAY that they can make them custom fit for your vehicle. The cost is around $174, or something like that. I look it up for my 2002 Protegé, and they seem to have them...am not for sure!!! Hope this helps!!!
