This, coming from a "grown up" 40 year old!

Guitarwannabe, since it was me who first brought up that you were being stupid for not taking advice about your system when you clearly asked what we thought, here is another piece of advice...take your wicked little sound system and go play all your happy melodies, recorded onto cd-r of course, through your Alpine (all powerful and mighty) system. Just don't let me hear your John Denver loving *** driving down the street. Oh wait, with only about 30W (at high distortion) per channel, I won't be able to anyway.

So have you recorded anything you guitar god as you call yourself? Have you played in any bands? Made the cover of Guitar Player magazine? All hail the great guitargod!

I don't think he'd get any record deals because his music is so awesome that record labels think that the consumers are not ready to handle all that awesomeness, people would buy his records by the millions, the supply wouldn't meet the demand so pretty soon they start rioting. The worldide economy colapses, all of this leads to food shortages and people start killing and eating each other to survive.
Guitargod would emerge as the new ruler of the world, seating in his car with the awesome Alpine sound system wich he uses to preach to his fallowers about the awesomeness of his subs and the almighty ported box wich would soon be worshipped as a minor deity. The survivors would repopulate the earth while singing along with Guitargod in an orgy of happiness, SQ and awesomeness.

that is funny. but we aren't here to bash anyone(even though he brought it apon hisself) were here to help him reguardless if he wants it. i've got a degree in sound engineering but i still learn alot everyday b/c car audio is ALOT different than say a major label recording studio or 100,000 watts live concerts. there are alot of young people(including me) and alot of older people on this board and we all know alot and are trying to help people. hihoslva(i think thats how you spell it)did a COMPLETE write up on how to do fiberglassing work for beginners, which took alot of time and patients. lets just not forget that this board is to help, not run people off.

though he is pretty stubbern and probably realized his own stupidy and tried to cover it up but didn't work. so just suck it up, take it like a man, learn something and continue on with life....or just keep this halirious thread going.

Hehehe, I was feeling a litle creative tonight....that and the fact that I had nothing else to do .

And yes, we're here to help and learn from eachother, but every once in a while a knowitall like Guitargod comes along and makes a post thinking that everyone will be amazed by his knowledge and that we will start looking up to him as chief installer or some **** like that, the truth is that most of this posts either end up becoming a flame war or in a hilarious thread such as this one in wich we make fun of the poor "ahead of his time" car audio genious .

keep em' coming guys .

You guys are really funny.

I didn't say I was a guitar god, I didn't say I was a car audio guru, I didn't say your systems are shity. I didn't say my new system is the best system. And maybe my ported 10" Alpine sub might not sound good to my ears in my '01 Protege Sedan. I will try and see. The store will work with me on that, if I don't like it I will change it to sealed or something else.

Just because I didn't take your advise Brian you are acting all defensive. Basically I seen your winning certificate on being the loudest, and thought OK mister loudness.

You guys are acting like a bunch of kids. Should of none that, when posting to get some info. You guys are totally f--ked. Do you guys even have jobs or are still going to school and can't afford Alpine systems. I don't want to stereo type you guys but you are sure actioning like a bunch of idiots.

Fellas - this **** is out of control.

I've read the entire thread - entertaining, to say the least.

I'm not sure why I'm throwing my hat into this ring, but...

Guitargod - you're dead wrong here. You ask for advice and opinions, and then take a big **** on some good advice and those who gave it.

The options presented to you, especially by Brian, are valid and based in fact and experience. All the guy was trying to do was help you get better sound and more for your money. He wasn't trying to **** on your picnic. He was trying to help you get an even better sounding system than the one you had planned for yourself, and some extra cash at the same time.

And your attitude just plain sucks. Guess what - I'm a musician, too. A ******* no-lesson taking, learn-it-myself hack. And my no-knowledge *** has played guitar, bass, and drums in several bands, and I had a steady weekly SOLO guitar gig at a local bar for several summers that paid excellent. If I had the time, I'd still be doing it. I've got some talent, pal. But I don't feel the need to tell everyone how goddamn great I am - and I would never use it as a way of stating how I am better than anyone else. Great - you're a musician. So ******* what? I've known plenty of musicians in my time who don't know **** about sound. And to be precise, that's why there are producers and engineers - THEY know sound.

I'm gonna make you a little suggestion (though if history is any teacher, you'll resent and refute it) - change your attitude. If you want advice, ask for it. Then do with it what you wish. But if your objective is to argue with those who DO know more than you (and LOTS of people here do), go somewhere like termpro.com and fight with the kiddies about THD and cabling and other bullshit. There are a lot of young people here, too - but a lot of them KNOW THEIR ****.

Suck it up, admit you don't know everything, and try to learn something. Or don't ask for advice. Either way, cool your jets.

I am not the guy that needs cooling, I think Blue needs cooling.

You guys are typical Americans. You say you have talent, you played in a band, you played drums, bass. When you say that that means you don't have any talent. Typical American attitude. I, my, I, me.

As I said before. I said my system will rock I didn't say it was the best system. Come on man. I don't want 100rms watts, to blow my ears off. Why pay for wattage that you will not use.

Admit I am wrong about what? I admit sub in a car is new to me. So, I will try one or the other. Sealed, vented, everone has different taste.

Listen pal - YOU are the one who started with the "I'm a musician" crap - like it means something.

My statement was designed to prove that being a musician DOESN'T mean anything.

And please get over yourself with the "typical American" bullshit. If anything, YOU are the one who is displaying the "I, my, me" attitude, with "MY system will rock, no matter what you guys say" and "I'M a musician so I know good sound". Not to be childish, but YOU started this ****.

Of course, we don't know where you're from - but your posts are some of the most hypocritical statements I've ever read on this forum. You accuse others of actions you take yourself - to the extreme.

Step back, look in the mirror, and repeat after me: "I am not a god. I do not know everything. Just because I have age does not mean I am wise about all things. Some people will know more than me. I will not pretend that this is not the case."

It's not often that this entire board sides against one member. But it seems they do on this occasion. That oughtta tell you something. Maybe re-reading this thread would give you some perspective on how unappreciative and combative you have been.

Keep it up - if making online "enemies" by being a pompous ******* is your goal, you're doing one helluva job.

Dude, what's your problem? I'm not american either but I don't see what that has to do with anything in this discusion.
Hiho and Blue are nice guys, they've helped a lot of people in here with their advice (myself included) and they're also willing to learn new stuff, they apreciate other people's advice unlike some dumbasses .

And what's up with the Alpine systems thing??? Do you think you're a millionaire or something just because you bought some(cheap) alpine stuff? My wiring and soundeadening materials alone cost almost as much as your HU, does that make me better than you?

Do everyone a favor and go make your stupid posts somewhere else.

I am a musician too! i play the cow bell! blahahaha. This is entertaining as hell. How much of an *** can one make of himself. It's your attitude guitargod that makes us have wars and such. Narrow-minded people with little or no IQ and have nothing to prove so they lash out at people like us. You mental midget! You are one of those keyboard warriors who is probably 5 foot 2 and weigh 110 lbs. "Why I outta pound you!" Is what your battle cry is. Your posts speak for themselves, so go ahead and reply and keep on amusing all of us. The more you do, the more I laugh.
