Has anybody put a lockable safe in there mazda3?

I own a 2012 mazdaspeed3 and was surprised that there is no locked compartment in the car. This might be a good thing considering how flimsy locked glove compartments are anyway. Has anyone tried to rectify this. I saw some small lockable safes online and was thinking about getting one. They are advertised as gun safes but you could put anything in there, electronics, extra cash, spare credit car, etc.




It would be nice for it to be integrated into the glove compartment or arm rest. I'm wondering if any of these small lockable safes would fit in either area.
