Installation of MAZDA 3 2006 radio in MAZDA 2004, different display

Hello guys,

does anyone know is there any way to wire the 2006 Mazda 3 lcd radio display to Mazda 2004 cassette player. I would like to uninstall the old original Mazda 3 2004 cassette player and to install a newer one from 2006 Mazda 3 but as I see the displays are differently wired.

PLEASE HELP!

got the same problem.

I got an flip up screen for may 2004 mazda 3. the one with Tape/MD botton. i screwed up my headunit, so i bought a 2006 headunit (the one with Media botton). But my problem now is that my info display is 2004 model, and the 2006 headunit is different. The 2004 LCD info display has 14pins, and the 2006 is only 12pins. I've search and failed looking for the wirings for this. all I can think of is that I'll connect the info display wires directly to the harness of my headunit. But I have no idea which wire to connect to.

Did you solve your problem?

If you got any idea, let me know.

thank you
