More power with increased amps is all thats needed

Higher amperage alternator with more watts it can be done, I'm a electrical engineer & will eventually have to deal with this same issue in the future for the same similar upgrades, prob is I cannot afford to do the mods right now to help out... But I'll figure a way to do it to help out later on, a bigger regulator would do the trick... Just look at what someone has done for say a ford escalade system or cadillac...

do some research first...

the MAZDA ecu is expecting a certain amount of power from the alternator..if it sees more it flips out...have to find a way around this first, otherwise what you are suggesting is a waste of time

Hey Macdaddyslomo...

I havent been on here for a while so I lost track of this thread. We never started a GB here because there didnt seem to be enough interest. If we can get at least 5 people then we would consider this.

Also worth noting...The ECU problem you guys speak of has been overcome by our adapter plug interface. Anyhow...let me know.

Chris

what would the price be?? and wat output would the new alt be??

I cant give specific prices because this is not an official GB but I can give you a range.

We have alternators ranging from 150 - 225 amp, price range is between 470.00-685.00 and polishining is additional.

Thanks
Chris

Just printed this to remember about maybe just buying one myself in the future... Especially since you solved the ECU issue...
