i wanted them but now i am not sure. price is not a problem is just that its held by double sticky tape and i don't like that.
it will easily come off (in florida heat) and when you do remove them, might leave ugly marks. damn, i thought the new ones REPLACE the stock ones.

Where does it say that???

That's annoying though... it's not that hard to make ones that fit.... like four screwholes, right (not sure for the P5, I have a first gen)? Maybe you could drill your own...

I pm'ed Maxx Mazda and that's what he told me.
Drilling is out (for me that is) because again it would leave
holes and i don't like anything that's been modified and cannot be made stock again.

you dont have to use the tape that comes with them do you??

i mean , you could use some industrial stuff, or use contact cement or something.. some kind of glue that you can desolve with like degreaser so you can get the glue residue off, if you take them off one day..... get the idea???

Lightbulb The stuff to use...

is 3M autobody attachment tape. It is a thin (1 or 2 mm) double sided tape used to put on side moldings and emblems. It won't come off until you tell it to, in hot or cold, and will probably argue with you then.... Check a body shop, cuz it comes in huge, expensive quantities, so you can get just enough to do the job. Make sure you put it where you want it the first time, second chances are rare....

cool, thanks. the only concern i have is that since the new plates will attach to the original plastic ones and not the car's body itself, will it still hold? and will there be ANY marks when I remove them? sorry to be an *** everybody, i am just very picky when it comes to my car and i like everything in original and very good condition

I have inquired about a return policy and hope to get some info on quality and installation. Hell, I may even see about becoming a distributor. Who knows what other neat stuff they carry....

so do you recommend i get them now or wait for you to become a distributor and buy them for you. find out how much the manufacturer will sell them to you and how much you will sell to everybody else. i would want to see a cheaper (under 100 for e.l. set) price. i have only 2 concerns: installing the sills and hooking up the wires

You'd better be patient...

The wiring will be a piece of cake. Two wires, hook one to ground and the other to the switched side of the dome light. (finding said wire may be anither story )
You'd better be patient if you're waiting on me, They may require a signifigant pre-buy deposit before I become their distributor...
I think I'll order a set and feel out the interest in this area before I jump into bankruptcy.
