Dash lights.

Ok Maybe i should direct this question to those ppl who has installed aftermarket decks or has done alarm setup on their cars...

Have anyone here taken off their dash or center console completely off and see whats inside yet?

The reason im asking is because i want to change all the stock lighting in the car to BLUE and iw as just wondering if the stock red color are just RED L.E.Ds or if theyre clear LEDs with a red film on top.

Any help on how to go about this would be appreciated. THZ

There are orange rubber inserts slipped over the dash bulbs behind the cluster, and also some orange 'film' painted under the gauge faces.

If it's anything like what Focus owners have done to their cars, you can try taking the faceplate off and sanding it down. I don't know how to take the faceplate off though.
