dash board lights

I was wondering if anyone knows how easy or difficult it would be
to change the lights from red to blue on the dash board guages

Thanx

relocated to "interior/exterior/audio"

Shouldn't be too hard. If you have some small screw drivers and a little bit of patience you should be able to get it all done in about an hour. I had my gauge cluster out and completely disassembled in about 20 minutes. It's only about 6 screws and a few clips.

Personally though I prefer the red lights to the blue. My wifes mustang is blue and while they look ok they don't look custom like the gauges in the 3rd Gen. Everyone that sees my car wants to know where I got the custom gauges from! I tell them it's factory and they don't believe me. Also I guess I kinda partial to the sportiness of the red lights.

If you need extremely detailed instructions on how to remove the lights then you may want to consider having someone else do the work for you. It's not real tricky, but you deffinatly don't want to mess anything up! You have to look at those gauges everytime you get in the car!

I never said the lights were different. I was saying that they don't look like every other car makers lights. My wifes mustang has blue/green lights, the P5 has red lights. I prefer the red lights.

I understand the cluster light color, but what about the light color of the buttons on rest of the the dash and the door? I like the cluster sold by corksport, but I feel the other lights would clash. Thanks.

I have never tried to replace those bulbs. Maybe Sir Nuke could help you more.

Hey, so I'm not entirely sure, I too thought about going to blue, but from the couple q's I've asked, and searches I've ran it seems liek it's actually quite difficult to switch. the bulbs are clear, the colors are in the gagues and buttons themselves in the from of "gels" that are difficult to get to and trickier to replace. The few I've seen it done with, you basically have to scrape off the coating from some buried surfacce somewhere and paint on a new one. Prettymuch the range of too complex for my comfort zone. not to mention with as deep as you're digging, screwing something up gets thatmuch easier.
