carpet cleaning

just wondering if anyone knows how to get salt stains out of carpets, also i find that when i washed my moms carpets they never looked the same, the fibers all bunched together and it looks pretty bad, any way to fix that?

Go to WalMart or Canadian Tire and get the Turtle Wax Power Out Carpet Cleaner. It comes in a large yellow and red pressurized container, with a scrub near the nozzle. It's in the autumotive section.

It work's suprizingly well, although salt stains need an extra scrub or two.

It costs around 6 bucks.

Be careful not to confuse this one with the upholstery cleaner which comes in a similar container, and works well too.

although it doesn't have the most pleasing odor, brake cleaner works great at taking stains out of carpets
