bumper lights on mp5

just wondering how to remove the bumper lights on my pro 5 so i can smoke them out..thanks

open your trunk..... take out the black plastic piece that's below the opening of the trunk, and then you'll see some screws that you gotta unscrew, and most of them are the ones that just pop out, really easy......

note, that's what I did on my Protege (sedan)..... probably the same thing for your Protege5 except that the taillights are different shape......

bumper lights? exactly which lights are you calling bumber lights? the tail lights? the fog lights? I am cornfuzzled.

bumper lights...

I believe he is talking about the amber lights on the sides of the front bumper for the Protege 5. You just have to push light towards the front of the car, you will notice it is springy. Once it is pushed forward pull it out, and you can then unscrew the wiring harness. If the light is stubborn in comming out you can unscrew the front three clips in the wheel well and then reach in from behind the bumper and push the light out. Hope this helps.
