ok, .. do you really want to know?!? ok here we go then..

I ordered the side skirts from one of the pakfeifer kits for the 323bj (3rd gen protege).. it cost..

$254 (side skirts themselves)
$80 shipping to get out of Austria
$18.18 (some extra fee for C.O.D, no biggie)
$95 customs entry
$50 customs bond (I honestly don't know what this is for)
$6.35 duty
$45 handling (the customs broker)
$20 messenger fee (they called me many times to fax documents back to the broker)
$40 JFK storage fees (I picked it up one day after it came in)

in the end, the actual cost of everything worked out to be $608.53 for my side skirts.. and I had to drive to JFK airport to pick them up.

to top it off, pakfeifer screwed up somehow and sent me sideskirts for the 323BA (2nd gen protege).. so I didn't even end up with the right product (even though the invoice and all the forms list the right item).. grrr.. crazy austrians

shipping will take a little under a month from the date of order.

I decided it wasn't worth the effort to try to correct the order and get the right skirts so I'm gonna be selling them soon.

because, it would cost ME money to get the replacemnets even if they were declared "free" by pakfeifer.. argh..

to sum it up: it is not worth it and will cost you a fortune. I can say however that their fiberglass is of high quality, so as long as you get the order correctly you're golden if you've got the money.

the price of originality I guess

peace,
