Badges..

On the rear of the P5.. can you safely remove any of the Badging on the car (do any of the badges expose holes when removed?).. Mainly talking about the "MAZDA" badge more than anything else...

I'm not 100% sure about the Protege 5, but my boyfriend removed the badges off the back of his ES and it left 5 holes acros the back of his trunk.

I went to the body shop and they told me it was going to cost me 1000 to fill in the holes and paint

So does any one know if you can buy the MP3 badges that are silver for the sadan and the mp3 badge

Umm - why would you want an MP3 badge on your ES?

Plese don't tell me you're going the "Type-R", "Si" and "V-Tec" route that our Acura and Honda friends have - I mean, putting badges on your car that just don't belong there.

as stated...YES. there are holes behind EVERY badge on the back of the P-5....and if you were going to SHAVE your car...the PROPER way to repair them .... would be to have a reputable shop weld them shut...and repaint the decklid.....not cheap.

Kind of going that way but im going to get almost everything that the mp3 has and change things to the way that I think an mp3 should have been.......something like that.......and as for the ricers that put the "Type-R", "Si" and "V-Tec" badge...its fine if they do the motor swap and every thing to make it just like one but if they just have the badge and stock motor thats rice.......
