Amp & Sub Concidering

Hey guys I am back posting again.
I did get the pioneer speakers that I had mentioned before and have installed the back ones so far. I am not nearly done with all the installing of them, and have a ways to go untill I get all the crappy rattling to stop back there and get the trim piece to fit nicely. But I think they sound awesome! And they are perfect for me.

Anyways, after listening to them, I know now that I definitely need to get a sub and amp so that I can get alot of lows.

But I was looking at getting the JBP BP600.1, I can get it from etronics for $190.00 (is there a better price?). I think this amp will definitely be enough power for me for a sub that I get, and I think paying a bit more for this JBL amp instead of paying 100 or less for a cheaper amp, will better last me and definitely be worth it.
I really wish I could afford a JL Audio amp, like the 250/1 they sell, but on thezeb.com it goes for $300.00, which is way out of my price range I think.

For the sub, I was planning on getting the 12" Ultimate Sound Platinum Loaded Subwoofer System, and thezeb.com sells it for only $110.00, which is right in my price range, and from the specs seems like a pretty good amp.
I do have a friend selling a JL 10" sub for $50.00, I think it is a W1 something. But it is used and I think around a year old.
But I would have to either build a box for it or buy one, which I kindof don't want to have to do.

Anyone know of better prices then these? Or any input on the selections I am thinking on?

I appreciate all your guy's help.

I would say you've made a fine decision

That's pretty much the lowest price you can go without having to sacrifice quality. That JBL BP600.1 amp is a good sub amp for the money and it'll probably be good enuff for the next sub upgrade, because it handles 2 ohms and pushes out 600w, so it'll handle a wide range of subs. For prices, check out eBay.

I would say that the Ultimate Sound sub is also pretty good. Not going to win you any SPL competitions, but does have good SQ.

dude, evrything looks good so far, but hold up on the sub for a bit. i should be getting my elemental e10kd2's this week or ealry next. soon as i test it i'll post my opinion's. other subs to consider (in your $$$ range) could be:

-fusion powerplant
-visonik
-jl audio w0
-kicker compvr

there's a few more, but i need to go workout. good luck on finishing your install.

ebay

I looked over eBay at the amps they have for sale, and looked up the JBL amp I am looking at and it is not any better priced (once you add in shipping). The JL amps that you listed are at good prices, but i am sure they will bump up a bit more when other people bid on them. I will watch them and see how much they go for though.

Dude, I don't know where you're looking, but check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1385409385

And it's actually sold by Ikesound. They are reliable pple.

etronics is $189.99 not including shipping. Besides, i know some people have issues with etronics.com

I'm sorry I didn't do my math all the way, hehe.
I went to pricegrabber.com and searched and they are about 2 dollars more then that price on eBay, including shipping. So yeah you are right.

I just got back from a friend's that is selling the JL 10" W0 sub, and listened to it and it sounded beautiful! It would be perfect for me. He is selling it for $50.00. It is used though. Is it recommended to NOT buy used subs? or is it ok? I mean do JL subs have a short life span or anything? I know I definitely was impressed with it, especially for only 50 bucks. It did however have a small nick in the rubber, and also the outside I guess it is the mounting rubber piece is messed up. Like some of it is ripped.
