amp and Sub

A friend of mine is selling his 10" kicker comp in a custom box with a power acoustik gothic serires amp for a $100. I was wondering if this is a good buy they sound really good but I dont know much about PA amps. Plus it wont weigh me down and im not looking for serious bass just a lilttle thump. Any help is appreciated.

Agreed - plus, if you're not happy, you can probably sell the stuff for almost what you paid for it. $100 is a good deal for almost any sub setup as long as it is in working condition.

under normal listening conditions, it's more the woofer to box relationship that matters most. If the box is designed for THAT woofer, then even a cheap amp can make it sound good.

Get it, install it. You can always save for a better amp down the line.
