Hi! Sorry for the wait. This is a 2000 Protege Lx home-made modified body-kit with aluminium accents and more. Total cost for this project is less than $500.00 Cdn. (painted and installed). Approximate completion time is 2 to 4 weeks depending on how eager one is. Enjoy the pictures! :)

:D Your not late. I had pics of your car early this year saved on my computer. I read what you used and everything. Man do we have some junkyard professionals here.:D I didn't know you were part of the protegeclub though.

BTW, I surfed the internet quite a bit before I started school.

Thanks 'Redrims'. All of us have some form of talent of some sort. I wished that I knew how to play musical instruments, but instead, I like doing and fixing things.

Well, I guess the key to a small budget is to browse the junkyard. They have good stuff there for just $10.00 to $40.00 depending on parts (body-kits, spoilers, etc.). Of course you have to bargain, ahe? Once you're home, drill, dremel, jigsaw, that's all you basically needed, oh, and time. The rest is your imagination. For professional paint job, go to (Joe's or Bob's) small garages for lesser pricing, unless you're tempting to do it yourself.

The home made interior dash kit. HOw did you get the aluminum to bent like that around the consoles and door handles. Basically how did you do all of it. How does it attach? I really want to try this out. Thanks.

Any plans on an exhaust? (just my opinion-I like proteges without the side molding)

How to make real aluminium interior accents:
(budget of $20.00 to $30.00 Cdn.)

Materials and tools needed are post on the last pic.:
- rubbing alchohol with clean rags
- small tip marker (washable)
- sharp scissor
- dremel tool (recommended)
- small flat head screw driver
- thin cardboard (from toy boxes, etc.)
- 2" masking tape
- strong double-sided tape (3M)
- thin aluminium sheet (Home-Depot / Canadian-Tire)

Steps:
1- masking tape over area needed accenting (several layers)
2- trace with marker
3- carefully peel off and tape it back onto cardboard
4- cut out shape, trace cardboard shape onto aluminium sheet
5- cut out shape in aluminium sheet (use dremel in some cases)
6- apply double-sided tape to back of aluminium shape
7- clean surface area with rubbing alchohol
8- carefully apply aluminium shape to desired area
9- use flat head screw driver, applying smoothly along edges and
contours of the interior
10- after, sit back and enjoy your own craftsmanship :)

but Znole where did the front and rear lip come from???? cmon I already got my spoiler and side skirts cheap,but i really want the lips to finish it off...help a brother out!! :P

Thanks! The body-kit comes from original Grand-Am although some modification are required. Check out scrap yard, they have good prices there.

The rims are 'shu-4' type with 205/40R17's. The rear spoiler is from Subaru Impreza.

The passenger side vent is removable but pry it out carefully as it is tight fitted. The driver side vent, however, do not come out as it is one piece dash. I did it right on the car.
