Ottawa - Time for another meet?
 

First, thanks guys for replying to my previous thread. We have enough interest to make this club happen! :D

When is everyone available for our next meet? We could do something different like BBQ or something like that.

This will give us a chance to discuss our club in details. Bring your spouse/better half... it'll be great!!

i'm up for another meet. i'm getting married at the end of August. and will probably be busy almost every weekend until then. so just set up a time/date and i'll try and make it.

The BBQ idea sounds good.......food maybe some drinks and just a good ole' time.....does anyone know of a nice quite park in the Ottawa area? besides Vincent Massey?

Mooney's Bay is a great place to hang out. I think they have BBQs, and the beach is nice (could play volley for a bit). Just an idea.

Well maybe we can a meet and a Goodbye, Nice Knowing You, type thingy for Manon......How does that sound? Lets get this going....we are getting lazy......get the hell up

its a great meating place...plus its a 5 minute drive for all of us that live in ottawa south :D

This could be a very busy weekend as I will be in Trenton on Thurs and Friday to pick my daughter up from Cadet camp. I will leaving Trenton on Sat am ,I might swing home via Ottawa to attend the meet . Has a time been set yet ,I see by the posts the location will be Moony's Bay .

August 3rd isn't good for me, guys...so have a good time. If you decide on another date, let us know, otherwise I'll see you in September. Ciao...

It's my boyfriends sister's birthday that day but I'm sure that there will be a few more meets for me to hit before the snow flies!! Hope it's a great turn out!!:D

FYI, there are parking meters at the beach now. It's $0.25 for 15 minutes. It may be busy on Sat at 1:30 because there is a large soccer tourney at Terry Fox. Maybe it should be later in the day since you don't have to pay for the meters after 6pm.

Summer is always a hard to organize stuff. When Fall/Winter comes, we should maybe put a fixed date for our meets. Ex: every 2nd Thursday of each month.

We'll talk at the meet Saturday.

No, there aren't any BBQs at Mooney's Bay. BUT, you can bring your own so long as it is propane-powered. There is a Canteen, but the food kinda sucks :barf: I wouldn't eat anything that they prepare...

Not sure if I'll be there though, Saturday's my day off and some friends are going to the Maxville Highland Games... We'll see. :)

I'm going to the Highland games Friday night. Should be fun.

Ya 6:00pm is fine for me.

We're only going to be 3 though :(
