Has anyone been in the Import Rave at Dinwiddle, VA before? There is one this Friday and I am looking at going but I wanted to get a heads up on what the rules and prices are? Do they required helmets and if so do they offer them?

 

I've never heard of this Dave. What is this "rave".

That website is where i found out about this. I guess its just an import night at the drag strip. I just wanted to know if it going to worth the drive up there?

Took the trip to the raceway last night. I was not impressed. Trip was like hour & a half. On a night designated to Imports, we had to wait for like 2 hours for all the muscle cars to run. THe race track has 8 lanes that the crew picks from. One or 2 lanes at a time run. There we so many cars I couldn't believe it. I had the only Protege. and maybe the only Mazda running. There were a couple of RX-7 but they weren't running.
It was misting off and on so I only got in 3 runs. The first time nI blew it bad. I had a horrible takeoff & missed 3rd -> landed a 19.05 Boo! But the other car had the same problem. I won that one. 2nd try I did better but still had a little bit of problems taking off. I had a 17.04. The last time down I thought I did great but landed a 17.36. How disappointing. I did get it on camera but its going to take a few days to figure out how to capture that to disk.

 

Im an idiot and the only way I could get the vids top come out right was to make em Divx . So here they are on a geocities site. Im sure somehow its gonna suck. Get em while they are hot.
