did anyone go to midnight madness? I couldn't make it.

 

Midnight madness was awesome!!!! I'm telling you, this year's team just might be deeper than last year's talent-wise!!!

 

I was there, but I left early to go to a party. When I was there, midnight madness sucked. A bunch of old people playing basketball. Maybe I should have stayed to the end.

 

LOL!!! yeah, you left too early. they always have an alumni game early on. the real fun doesn't start until 11:50pm or so. I bet the new arena is SWEET. anyway, back to car stuff

 

Yeah, the new arena is beautiful. The seats almost go vertical. Seriously, if your afraid of heights, that is not the place to be. I can't wait till basketball season. Really, I only went to get the points on my ticket for b-ball season.

 

hehe, typical freshman mistake, all the good stuff happens AFTER the old people game

so you also missed the HOT cheerleading/dance teams, the infamous Gymkana troupe (no manpile this year, thank god, only a girlpile ), and the following laser show introduction of both the women's and men's team. You shoulda stayed, the arena was FULL when they introduced the players, it was nutz!!!!

Keep an eye on #22, this guy will be an immediate impact player.

and for those that didn't go, here's what the new arena looks like, it is going to be a LOUD place to play (louder than Cole, if that's possible!!!)

I don't think I'll be able to make it ... I'll be at school down at SMCM ... but I would love to see pictures of this event!

 

another reminder about the big car meet at UMD this Saturday!!!!

Where: University of Maryland College Park Lot 1D parking lot.
When: Saturday, October 19th, 3pm - ???

There will be cars of all makes and models, could be a NOPI-like atmosphere!!!!

I would LOVE to see a whole line of Proteges (all age and size )showing up!!!!

is the stamp union parking garage (next to Cole) free on weekends? We can meet up at Stamp Union cafeteria area (where McD is...)

say around 2ish? I have class in DC til 1pm...

 

I'm not sure if the garage is free, but I can try to find out. Just check back, because I'll find out later. Will all of Lot1 be closed off? If not, we can still park in some of the other sections.

 

ok, don't worry about the garage, I think lot 1b (the lot closer to Cole Field House) is open anyway, so just park there.

oh, let's all meet under the clock (courtesy class of 2000 ) in front of Stamp Union around 2:30, would that work for everyone???
