itzkcatz February-7th-2003 07:00 PM

Why do u say that ?

nate0123 February-7th-2003 07:52 PM

He should enjoy his car!! Have fun with it. I know I would.

itzkcatz February-7th-2003 08:03 PM

Yeah thats smart what was i thinking dont let the motor break in just rev it up and drop it see what u can fuck up first... Stupid ass. Wait 800 miles before u open it up or there a good chance u will screw it up ... Jon

nate0123 February-7th-2003 09:13 PM

What a killjoy.

There's no such thing as a "don't push it too hard" break-in period. Some dealers recommend not maintaining constant speeds for long periods of time.

itzkcatz February-8th-2003 12:53 PM

Ur a moron!

mesoh February-8th-2003 02:13 PM

agreed, you are a fool, here's hoping your tranny drops!

nate0123 February-8th-2003 02:16 PM

wow, you guys are sweet.

I drove my last car to 110,000 miles with no tranny problems. It had other problems, but then again, it was a Ford.

nate0123 February-8th-2003 02:24 PM

Honestly I don't think Phatom cares what any of us has to say about this. And I don't think this is the appropriate place to discuss it. If you want, open up a new thread about the urban legend of break-in periods or do a search and find out how much it has been discussed already.

I'd personally like to apologize to Phatom for indulging katz as much as I have. I really did not want to adulterate a thread as exciting as one about a new MSP. I love the new MSP. I'm sure Phatom will too.

Hong Kong Fever February-8th-2003 03:14 PM

Alright time to resolve this, both of you are right.

itzcatz, your right cuz you shouldn't beat the car to death, and should give it a proper break in before goin all out with it. However, nate0123 is also correct, as you should vary your speeds when breaking in your car; you should try not to keep the same speed. Vary as much as you can, for example, on the highway, drop down to 90km, then go up to 110 km, or something like that. So you are both right, just be happy that he got his MSP and dont flame each other about this no more!
