I haven't recieved them yet. I didn't even raise this issue with Mitch, he still owes me a B&M short shifter, which he said he was looking into yesterday. I don't know what to tell you, they could just be having "One of those weeks"

No, I'm using it, I went to Ace Hardware and bought some rubber gourmet, (brushings) and installed them, works great IMO. When I get the real ones, I'll look at the difference and determine if it's worth putting the right ones one.

here's a one week old(?) update for the AWR rear adjustable
sway bar (19mm). im starting to get minor rattle noises from the endlinks over small bumps.

reason: endlink ball joints does not have any cusioning with
the endlink mounting bolts both top (strut braket) and
bottom (slider). so its making a metal to metal rattling noise.

remedy(?): im going to put some preload on the bar at all times
by changing the length of the endlinks by about 1/2inch... this
way the bar will always be pulling on the endlinks a tad.

more info over the weekend.

kopp-cool, yah i was going to get some rubber bushings myself
if the RC car bushing didnt work.

i got a note from mitch that tony sent me out some new bushings
via mail yesterday...so maybe by end of next week ill get them.

total lead-time from purchase to delivery: one month.

that is very very sad.

gave the swaybar some preload to see if i could rid the rattle,
but no luck. i think the best way would be to tape some etape
on the mounting bolts then slip on the endlinks over it. im too
lazy to do that right now. hahaha.

yep, lithum grease is the best on bushings. i dont even
use the grease most manufactures include in their package...
AWR didnt even include that...

Well I got the parts from Tony. He sent four new unidirectional washers that go on where the endlinds meet the sliders. There suppose to be thiner so that you do not need to a rubber brushing on the bar underneith the slider, like what I'm doing right now. I haven't swapped them yet or compared them, but when I do, I'll let you know. I was thinking the by using the rubber brushing, I'm actually allowing a little more giv in the system making it "softer." I might stick with this setup, it's working, and I would think the extra giv would be good for the stock struts. And, still no sqeeking since I lubed the endlinks.

kopp-sounds good. hope to get mine in a couple of days too.
actually, your setup might be better because if you have some
friction with the endlink joints you might not get any rattling
although the rattling is a verticle movement rather than
horizontal..the rubber might grab it from the sides to dampen
the noise a bit.

How long ago was it that he was going to send them to you? I think it took mine about 10 working days. Arrived via USPS.

Its really not that bad. You got an answer, you know they are on their way. Someone else on this board has already received them.

I know it sucks, but its really not the worst service in the world. You know what is going on. Apart from taking a long time, which sucks, everything else is fine.

still havent gotten it... and i have not gotten a formal reply
from Tony that he did ship it...only a note that Mitch 'thinks' that
tony shipped it. you guys must be really trained with your
patience from the slow motors we got waiting forever to get
up to speed. hahahahaha.

here's a follow up on the AWR 19mm adj swaybar...after 3 days
of t-storms and driving in the rain, i got some SERIOUS squeeking
noise. every little bump, SQUEEEK!!! squeek squeek squeeeeek! it was the endlink balljoint. put some lithium
grease on it and melted it with some WD40.. no more squeek, but
i think we need to fabricate a boot for this...imagine wat will
happen with salt in the winter................................!!! wonder
wat kinda material the ball joint is made of........
