strut bar torque specs

My strut bar is scheduled to arrive today and I want to get it on asap. However, I don't have any torque specs for the bolts on the struts. Does anyone know what they are or where I can find them?

Does it really matter? I wouldn't think that it did as long as its tight. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I know some people that live by the phylosophy "tighten it till it strips, then back it off a turn." I like specs though. Guess it's the engineer inside me.

Look at it this way...you are adding something that fastens to your front suspension. Wouldn't you hate to have your front wheels fall off when you are Bo and Luke Duking it? Not to mention any damage that might occur when one of the nuts falls off and goes ricocheting around your engine compartment. Torquing fasteners to spec is easy and elegant (there, I said it). I am an engineer, and have seen too many things fail when they weren't tightened correctly. Torque wrenches are cheap enough, and if you don't already have one this is a good excuse to get one. Tell 'em I sent you at Sears, maybe they will give me a discount next time!
