strut bar

i was wondering what difference the strut bar made, when i get my protege i won't be doing any racing or anything like that, i like taking corners fast but that's about it, will the strut bar make a big difference ?

It stiffens your chassis and shld make steering response a bit quicker...plus it looks good under the hood!!

I ended up getting the the dealer one from Mazdastuff.com....I couldn't believe how cheap I got this even with the exchange rate.....anways......i don't notice a difference...I thought there might be a difference in steering responce ....it's not day and night so you really have to be in tune with your car to notice....which i am not

Very little if any noticeable difference. Just curious but I'm assuming when you say better crash protection, is that more protection from impact on from the side?

I could feel a very noticable difference right away taking the turns fast. The car feels like it isn't leaning nearly as much as stock! A very worthwhile upgrade in my opinion.
