Unhappy Need strut tower help asap

Hello all, new member here

I got the MP3 tower bar kit, and aside from coming with an incorrect bracket, it also didn't come with instructions . Anyway I've figured most of it out on my own but ther is a flat piece of metal bent slightly in the middle with a hole and kind of a lip hook, I can't figure out where this goes. If anyone could help I would be soooooo thankful.

Did you just get that bar from MazdaStuff??? I heard Mazda was shipping the incorrect parts but MS's webpage says that they were correcting the problems.

It's like a little piece of square metal with a in the middle? I don't know where to use it either, so I improvised and just plugged it under the cruise control actuator bracket.

Not sure what that piece is SUPPOSE to go, doubt it's a CRUCIAL piece

Man the MP3 strut bar on Mazdastuff is a bargain! 99.95!!! I paid f'ing 140 for it back in december!

ahhhh.... so I do have it on the right bolt, I just put it under the bracket instead of over it... I'll see if there's room in there for me to readjust it, otherwise I'll leave it alone, since the bracket's already bolted in pretty tight and won't be moving all over the place.

thanks for the tip TheMan

That piece should go on the strut tower side itself-- if you have cruise control. Install all the other stuff and the cruise control bracket first. Then you should see a bolt sticking out from the side of the strut tower. Place this small piece on there and bolt it on. Your cruise control bracket should have a rubber pad where this small metal piece would rest on.

Cool

Thanks a lot theMAN that turned out to be the right place. I kind of thought it was, but it seemed strange that it would just push on the upper bracket and not bolt on. As for price I paid $140 also wish I had seen mazdastuff back when I ordered, and I had to wait 2 more weeks to get that correct bracket…

adjustment done

there's just enough space under the cruise control actuator that I was able to squeeze a ratchet wrench in there and get that metal piece on top of the bracket. Took about 5 minutes. Now the bracket ain't goin' nowhere!

thanks again TheMan
