Mazdaspeed Strut Tower Bar Kit

I ordered the MP3 strut tower bar kit from Mazdastuff.com (0000-88-C08), and much to my surprise, the bar I got was the silver bar from the MS Protege. After looking at the part number and the instructions, I realized it was a new Mazdaspeed strut tower bar kit (basically the same thing, except the bar is silver instead of yellow). The part number is 0000-8M-C11. I guess it apparently has replaced the MP3 kit.

But here's the bad part. Mazda is apparently having the same problem they had when the MP3 kit came out, they're packaging the WRONG cruise control bracket. You would think they would have this corrected after alomost a year and a half, but I guess not . I'm still waiting to hear back from Mazdastuff to see what they have to say.

If you'd like, I can send you my extra cruise control bracket if you wanna pay shipping and handling. I had the same problem. I was in too big of a hurry to wait for MazdaStuff to ship me the correct bracket so I had ordered it from the dealer and it came in the next day. MazdaStuff sent me their bracket almost two weeks later.

Hey thanks, I appreciate the offer. Luckily, it's all taken care of.

I made it clear to Richard ar Mazdastuff that I needed it right away, and he overnighted it to me. Thanks for offering though .

I believe Mazdaspeed parts are replacing all MP3 parts as performance upgrades. The MP3 ones are out of production, so it will be much harder to find those as stock runs out.

Technically, you can still buy OEM MP3 parts; what you can't buy are the ACCESSORY kits. Mazda segregates the regular parts catalog and the accessory catalog; all accessory parts start with "0000-". You can still order the MP3 strut bar out of the regular catalog, but it won't come in a neatly packaged kit with all the pieces needed for installation, and you will probably pay a higher price.

However, the basic point of the reply is correct- the MP3 accessory kits have been axed and replaced with MSP kits. The only way you can get most of the MP3 accessory kits is to find a dealer that has them in stock, which is pretty rare for most of the more expensive, less common parts.
