Fantastic Tires
#18
I just had some Toyo proxes 4s mounted on my 15" stockies yesterday, and so far they rock. A rabbit ran in front on me last night, so I got on the brake a little hard and the car stopped so fast I just about ate the steering wheel. I don't think I've ever had tires with this much grip. Got 205/55/15s mounted for $390.

I'm running Toyo Proxes T-1S in 15s on the Miata that I purchased for ~$60 per tire. These are the same tires I'm running on my 17s for the P5. I have Proxes FZ-4s on the P5's 16" stock wheels. I think the T-1S is the best tire out there if you are going to do track days in the rain They are grippy as heck in the dry too!! I was getting my supplies from www.onlinetires.com

I usually buy kumhos, which I have always loved, but this past time, I bought pirelli p zero nero and have to say i love those too. They were only a little bit more than my kumhos. I usually just go with 205, but eventually I want to upgrade to 215s

I can get the Kumho ECSTA ASX installed for just about $400, including lifetime tire rotations from the Mazda dealer. Tire rack sells them for $67 ea. and shipping would bring the total to about $300. Taking them to a local place for installation adds another $44. I figure the extra $56 I'd pay to have my dealer install them covers the tire rotations for the next 3 or 4 years and disposal costs. What do you guys think. (Sorry to revive this older thread)
