Yeah I don't know. That guy sounds on crack to me...don't you love hearing terrible reviews...this dude probably also had "too fast" as a con for a 911 turbo.

WTF, 911 too fast? WTF!!!!! i wanna hear him review something like an xj220 or a veyron

"Cost:
Top of the range for this car."

WTF the matrix, golf, WRX wagon costs more than this car

"The Japs continue to lead since... "

"Japs" is concidered a racist term

"Racing type suspension and that stiff ride signals better handling"

the protege5 does NOT have racing suspention, the MP3 is the closest and it only has "Sport Tuned" suspention

"The low slung feel reminds me of the very popular Chevy Xtreme pickup truck. You know, the S10 Yuppie truck that had a makeover in East L.A. "

Why the hell is he comparing an S10 in a review for a compact HB?
and the protege5 is not a slug, its as fast as most other compacts

"In my youth I spent a reasonable amount of time in the “Hood” as it is referred to these days. Where “Homies” experience the same adolescent fears... " this sentence clearly reflects that he is a wannabe gangsta

"But on a serious note, the fact of the matter is that “Boom Boxes” probably kill more people than gangs or other terrorists"

why is he talking about killing and acts of terroism when the topic is a review for a Compact 5dr HB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"When cities and states need to offset spending excesses they simply instruct our Men in Blue, (the Gestapo)"

he is calling law enforment **** police, WTF that is wrong...

"But the sporty attempt may be too radical."

so the focus is not radical? what about the matrix? suzuki areio? this reviewer is a dumbass

"The low rider thing doesn’t work for me"

you ******* idiot, the PR5 is not a low rider this is!!!!!!!!

"The Competition:
Ford Focus $17-18,000, Saturn SW $14,290, Subaru Impreza Wagon $17-23,000, Suzuki Esteem Wagon $14-17,000, Volkswagen Jetta Wagon $18-27,000."

the focus Sedan is not competition to the PR5, the Focus ZX5, Wagon SE, and ZTW are. Also the golf is more suited than the VW Jetta wagon since the Golf is a 5dr HB and the Jetta wagon is a REAL "WAGON"

Standard Equipment:
leather wrapped steering wheel and shift ****

my wheel is not leather and niether is my shift ****... well now it is but not stock

my conclusion with the reviewer "movello@earthlink.net" is that he is a dumb *** and he should be replaced imediatly

Anyone that spends 90% of his autocolumn bemoaning the injustices of the world does not rank up there reviewers that I look to for good advice.

The guys obviously does not have a clue what he is talking about. I always thought a review should review a product for its quality and its features. Instead he decided to give us his political commentary on the world. And reading what he does say about the car I don't think he even drove it. Oh well anyone with any knowledge about cars knows this guy is a fraud.

Amazing...my steering wheel is leather....and its stock. If you have a Protege5 and haven't changed your steering wheel, then it IS leather. The shift **** is leather on the 2002.5 models as well. I also agree with edwin. This was discussed at length over a month ago.

Make sure you read his id carefully; he's from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Canadian 2002's didn't come with leather steering wheel or shift ****.
